Heceta Head Lighthouse

I was talking to Tami (my wife) about how much I have loved the weather here since we moved to Florence. I have only known hot Fresno summers since I was 12 years old and it’s just something you get use to. Most of my grade school days were spent growing up around the coast of Lompoc and Vandenberg AFB. All I remember was lots of fog. It was always cold and always foggy, and as a kid I swore I would never live on the coast.

Welcome to a New Season in Life, in Florence

Did I mention that Florence is on the coast.…..ya where I swore I would never live. Well here I am!! I did most of my visits to Florence in either November or December to visit Tami’s side of the family for Thanksgiving or Christmas. We had a few visits in the beginning summer months of June and July. So the only weather I saw was rain in the winter and wind in the summer. Somebody forgot to tell me how wonderful the weather is in the other months.

Great post, Dave! You know that place is one of my favorite places on the planet. If I were a bride, I’d certainly want my wedding pictures to be there. I wish I could talk a bride into taking me there to shoot their wedding 🙂 I’m really looking forward to seeing your pictures. I have no doubt they will be award-worthy, and will get you tons of referral business.
